Fun, Fast and Inclusive Cricket for Kids Aged 4–10

Welcome to Woolworths Cricket Blast – the perfect starting point for young cricketers looking to have fun, make friends, and build confidence while learning the game we love.

  • What is Cricket Blast?

    Cricket Blast is Cricket Australia’s entry-level program for boys and girls aged 4–10. Children learn batting, bowling, catching and teamwork through fun, non-contact activities and modified games. No previous experience is needed.

  • What to Expect

    Weekly 60-minute sessions packed with action

    Fun drills and small-group activities

    Games with plastic bats, balls, and stumps

    Friendly, trained volunteers and coaches

    Music, energy and a welcoming family atmosphere

    A safe, supportive environment for all abilities

    No prior experience is needed – just a willingness to give it a go and have fun.

  • What’s Included

    Each child who registers for the program receives a Cricket Blast pack, which may include:

    Personalised t-shirt with your child’s name

    Plastic bat and rubber ball (first-time participants)

    Bucket hat in team colour

    Access to the official Blast learning app and games

    Note: Inclusions may vary slightly each season based on Cricket Australia’s national kits.

  • When and Where

    • Location: Highfields Sports Park

    • Day and time: Thursdays, 4:30–5:30 pm

    • Season: Six-week Term 4 program

    • Cost: $99, including a Cricket Blast pack
