Safeguarding Children and Young People at HDRCC

At Highfields & Districts Railway Cricket Club, the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of every child and young person involved in our programs is our highest priority.

We proudly support and adopt Australian Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People, which outlines clear expectations, standards of behaviour, and procedures to ensure that our club provides a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all.

Policy and Resources

The full policy, including supporting codes of conduct, procedures, and additional resources, is available on the Cricket Australia website. We encourage all members, volunteers, and families to familiarise themselves with these materials.

Blue Card Requirements

As per Queensland Government legislation:

  • All individuals working or volunteering with children at HDRCC—including during training, match days, and in the clubhouse—must hold a valid Blue Card.

  • We are required to maintain an up-to-date register of all current Blue Card holders.

  • If you are involved with our junior programs, please ensure your Blue Card details are current and submitted to the club.

Concerns or Questions?

If you have concerns about child safety, or would like more information about the policy or your obligations, please contact:

  • Our Child Safety Officer / Member Protection Information Officer, or

  • Any member of the HDRCC Committee

We are committed to working together to maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all players and families.
