The safety, wellbeing and inclusion of every child and young person involved in HDRCC programmes is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and respectful environment for players, families, coaches and volunteers.

HDRCC supports and adopts Australian Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People. The policy sets expectations for behaviour, reporting and the responsibilities of clubs, coaches, volunteers, players and families.

Everyone working or volunteering with children at HDRCC, including at training, matches and in the clubhouse, must meet Queensland Blue Card requirements. The club maintains a current register, and volunteers must provide their valid Blue Card details.

All members are expected to treat children and young people with respect, maintain appropriate boundaries, follow club and Australian Cricket codes of conduct, and speak up when something does not feel right.
