Junior Cricket for U10–U16 and Colts

Build skills, confidence and friendships in a supportive Bulldogs team. New and returning players are welcome.

  • Age Eligibility & Key Reminders

    Player age eligibility is determined at 31 August 2026. A player who is already 10 on that date cannot play U10 and must play U12 unless an approved dispensation applies.

    • Girls may play one age group lower than their eligible age group.

    • Other approved dispensations may apply for representative cricket experience, disability or individual circumstances.

    • Players must be registered and listed in PlayHQ before the toss.

    • Helmets, pads, gloves and protectors are compulsory.

    • • Respect officials, teammates and opponents. Play hard, play fair and have fun!

  • U10

    • T20 format — 20 overs

    • 7 players on field (5 minimum)

    • Modified 130 g ball

    • 16 m pitch and 40 m boundary

    • All players bowl

    • Non-competitive; no finals

    • Batters retire after their allocated balls

  • U12B

    • T20 format — 20 overs

    • 7 players on field (5 minimum)

    • 142 g leather ball

    • 16 m pitch and 40 m boundary

    • All players bowl

    • Non-competitive; no finals

    • Batters retire after allocated balls; dismissals apply after 10 balls faced

  • U12A

    • One Day format — 25 overs

    • 9 players on field (7 minimum)

    • 142 g leather ball

    • 18 m pitch and 50 m boundary

    • Competitive, with finals

    • Batters retire at 40 balls or 60 runs

  • U14B

    • One Day format — 25 overs

    • 9 players on field (7 minimum)

    • 142 g leather ball

    • 18 m pitch and 50 m boundary

    • Competitive; no finals

    • Batters retire at 40 balls or 60 runs

  • U14A

    • One Day format — 30 overs

    • 11 players on field (7 minimum)

    • 156 g leather ball

    • Full-length turf wicket preferred

    • 50 m boundary

    • Competitive, with finals

    • Batters retire at 40 balls or 60 runs

  • U16

    • One Day format — 30 overs

    • 11 players on field (7 minimum)

    • 156 g leather ball

    • Full-length pitch and 50 m boundary

    • Open to eligible U17 players
